Hand-dyed noil silk, metal, wire, foam

Thinking about illness, the body, and confinement, this project contains nine versions ( six displayed in this installation) of nine beds and one hanging mobile. The size of beds is reduced to 1/3, while the size of the mobile is enlarged.

Referring to institution and discipline, I adopt ’stripes’ as a visual clue in this project. Each bed is composed of different 3D forms and incomplete human bodies. The dyed fabric in here is a second skin. I aim to display the ambiguity of comfort and discomfort in this work.
